Terry "Bud" Colby, photographer, born in 1947 to a humble middle-income Kansas family. His mother, Evelyn, encouraged him to attend college (the first in his family’s history). Because of her benevolent support, he has since become addicted to higher education, with degrees in Business Management, Computer Science, Fine Art Photography, and Media Arts. A thirst for knowledge has led him to a late-in-life career as a digital artist. His rustic western photographs are created digitally, but have the nostalgic feel of images from the late 1800’s. Terry spent his professional career selling high-tech to Fortune 1000 companies. Now in retirement, he studies the Arts at Santa Fe Community College (New Mexico) and continues to photograph the great American West.
